Our Ministries
Joint Ministry with Covenant Moravian Church
In 2014 we initiated a joint ministry with the Covenant Moravian Church who meets in the sanctuary. We share administrative services. During the summer we have joint services with the Moravians who have a shared pulpit fellowship. The two churches have close doctrines and a common Lectionary. Backpack Buddy Program
Nourish NC is doing their part to provide food for over 200 starving children in New Hanover County. The group is a non-profit organization that strives to strengthen community resources that connect children to healthy food and reduce food insecurity. They started the "Backpack Buddies Program," which currently serves over 200 students in New Hanover County. We fill backpacks with food for our local children. God's Work Our Hands
Service activities offer an opportunity for us to explore one of our most basic convictions as Lutherans: that all of life in Jesus Christ – every act of service, in every daily calling, in every corner of life – flows freely from a living, daring confidence in God’s grace. We complete service projects in our beautiful city. This year it is September 9, 2018. Save the date. Click on the image to the right for more information.
Easter Extravaganza
Every Easter we have an Easter egg hunt for the families of our two churches and for local families. Come back next year for our exciting Easter egg hunt! Below are some pictures from this year's Extravaganza.
